Exercise classes in Herndon

“The aim is a body that is organized to move with minimum effort and maximum efficiency not through muscular strength but increased consciousness of how it works”.  – Moshe Feldenkrais, D.Sc

Who should take the Class? Those who have pain, chronic pain, those who would like to improve their posture, and those who would like to improve body awareness and discover easier and more comfortable ways to move. These classes are also for those who have neurological problems like Parkinson’s disease, fribromyalgia, multiple sclerosis.

In a group class, you will be verbally guided through gentle movements, typically while lying on the floor or sitting in a chair.

The Feldenkrais Method is a gentle system of sensory-motor re-education.  Participants report increased mobility, improved flexibility, coordination and balance, and a decrease in pain throughout their body.  Potential benefits include reduced stress and anxiety as you experience new and unusual sequences of movements that will help you gain not only a deeper sense of yourself, you will decreased feelings of helplessness and have a more self-confident behavior.

If you are looking to reconnect with you body and learn ways to move with greater efficiency, you found the right class!

We are going Virtual!

Join the Feldenkrais class in the comfort of your home. Using your computer, I-pad or or I – phone.  I can guide you through an easy sequence of movements that will allow you to improve your coordination, posture, balance and most of all reduce stress in this difficult time.
